Great Beaches
Curacao's beaches are its best-kept secret. With nearly forty beaches selecting the right one can be a very difficult task. Of course, choosing the right beach depends largely on what you are looking for. Just east of downtown Willemstad in Bapor Kibra, you will find Sea Aquarium Beach. This is your typical tourist beach (not necessarily a bad thing), complete with lounge chairs, bars and restaurants, concessions, and dive operators. Everything you need, including facilities. And if you stick around until after the sun drops, you will experience some of the island's hottest nightlife.
Somewhat less touristy, Playa Porto Mari is an excellent beach for swimming, snorkeling, and diving. Located off Willibrordus Road, Playa Porto Mari is perhaps the best beach on the entire island to kick back, relax, and take an occasional splash. There are facilities at Playa Porto Mari, as well as a pretty good restaurant and bar for a quick bite and a cocktail.
Looking for that romantic beach? Check out Playa Jeremi. No hustle and bustle here. No concessions or dive shops. No facilities either. Just a spectacular tropical island setting that's very near perfect for two.
If you are bringing the kids along, head over to Playa Knip. Protected coves make the sea seem like the perfect swiming pool. Playa Knip offers facilities, so you and your tykes can use the restrooms. A wonderful place to lounge and play all day.
If you are searching for exceptional snorkeling conditions, then Playa Kalki is just the place. Located at the western tip of the island, Playa Kalki offers an underwater paradise.
If it's a weekday, you can likely avoid the crowds at Cas Abou. This beach is phenomenal. Soft white sand, water a shade of blue that can hardly be described. Great for swimming, excellent for snorkeling. Arrive early, rent a beach chair, and make it a day.

Night Life
The large population and diverse culture mean that Curaçao's nightlife is without a doubt the best in the ABC islands.
Because the island is densely populated with a happy, social bunch of locals, the nightlife scene is geared for the residents as well as the tourists.
